Primark Beauty Nudes Palette

June 29, 2017

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to be reviewing the nude palette from Primark, I’m not going to lie I was slightly sceptical and didn’t have high hopes about it but let’s just say I was very pleasantly surprised.

The packaging is pretty basic it consists of sturdy cardboard with magnet closure, not the most glamorous but for the price I don’t think we can complain. You get 10 shades, 7 shimmers and 3 mattes for £4 which is amazing to begin with but also kind of the reason I didn’t know what to expect, the shades range from the typical white highlight/shimmer to black.

Swatching the colours I could see how pigmented they were. Not all, but some of the shades were slightly chalky and had fallout; it’s not a problem when applying if you make sure you tap off the excess. Every shade applied well, the darker colours I did find to be more pigmented than the lighter shimmer shades but the shimmers can easily be built up ( a spray of mac fix plus on the brush also helps the shimmers). I didn’t find the shades to be patchy which I did think I would, especially with the darker shades so that’s another plus point.

I love the fact all the shades have names too, I would have preferred the names to be printed somewhere on the actual palette and not on a plastic sheet I will probably loose after a few times using the palette, nevertheless I’m pleased Primark took the time to give their eye shadows names (it’s the little things).

A quick rundown of the shades:
  • Panacotta is a shimmer/highlight white shade
  • Beached Blonde is a gold shimmer
  • Barely Berry is a lilac shimmer
  • Skinny Dipping is a brick, orange undertone shimmer
  • Café Crème is a golden brown shimmer
  • Brown Bare is a matte medium taupe/brown
  • Wood Nymph is a dark brown bronze shimmer
  • Summer Solstice is a dark matte taupe/brown
  • Undressed is a black matte
  • Caught Red Handed is a dark golden bronze shimmer

My final thoughts are, I would highly recommend this palette to makeup lovers and to people just starting out with makeup as the price and the shade range is amazing and the performance is brilliant, you have nothing to lose.

Thank you for reading

XOXO
